Groove 2.0 Updates
Lots have been happening at Groove in recent days.
Here are just some of the updates that you may have missed...
Code Improvements and Bug Fixes:
The team is pushing updates continuously. While not every minor push is announced, they are actively addressing urgent and critical bugs using a prioritization method (referencing the Eisenhower system). If something is both urgent and important, it’s receiving immediate attention.
New Feature Developments:
Users have been requesting improvements that would significantly ease daily tasks for everyone.
Two highlighted features are:
- Bulk Upload for Groove Video: This feature allows users to upload multiple videos at once rather than one by one.
- Member Search Function for Courses and Members: Rather than using a makeshift method (like pressing Ctrl/Command+F), there will be a proper search tool to find courses, members, and other relevant data.
Although these features turned out to be more challenging than anticipated, the head developer has confidently indicated that both will be completed, tested, and rolled out to live code by the next morning.
User Voting and Feature Selection:
We want to underline the importance of users voting on bug reports and feature requests. The number of upvotes helps decide which items are tackled first, and the team will also review these suggestions for practicality, budget fit, and timeliness.
Groove+ Advantages and Additional Support:
While the core Groove product will remain free, Groove+ — an enhanced version—will come with a suite of additional benefits.
Over the coming weeks, Groove+ members can expect:
- Free access for two months.
- Weekly Q&A sessions with Kevin Strite (and sometimes additional one-on-one sessions).
- Extra support from newly recruited staff and increased personal involvement from the team.
- Access to extra features such as free coaching, concierge services (tbd), and other training sessions from people like Chris Reiff and Karl Bryan.
- For existing customers who enjoy the free two-month period, there is also an offer to include a 200,000-email package (valued at approximately $14.97)
New customers, however, will not receive the email package automatically.
Community Engagement Initiatives:
To boost team spirit and involve the community, active participation is highly encouraged on all polls and surveys to shape the product’s future. The overall message is positive and forward-looking, acknowledging the challenges of recent weeks and celebrating the progress made in restructuring and upgrading the platform.
